- The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia: Professional Preparation in Cochlear Implants (PPCI): San Antonio, TX. June 3-15, 2013.
- A Summer session of PPCI will be held at their San Antonio training location (Sunshine Cottage School for the Deaf, San Antonio, TX, in collaboration with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio) June 3 - 15, 2013. PPCI is a multifaceted, high impact, professional learning program, emphasizing listening and spoken language development for children with hearing loss, birth to age five, using ALL hearing technologies. This program supports the development of knowledge and skills that providers need in order to produce the desired listening and spoken language outcomes for children and their families. Upon completion of the program in its entirety, participants are awarded 9 graduate credits from Smith College and up to 70 hours of CE credits from ASHA and the AG Bell Academy. The application deadline is March 8, 2013!
- The Moog Center for Deaf Education: Helping Your Child Learn To Talk: St. Louis, MO. June 11-15, 2013.
- A Workshop for Parents of Children Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ages 2 to 5: This four-day workshop will provide parents with opportunities to learn strategies to help their children learn to talk while their children receive daily individualized instruction by a staff member of the Moog Center. Each day is packed full of activities for the children and information for the parents. Children over age 3 may receive speech and language evaluations, for an additional fee.

- The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia: Professional Preparation in Cochlear Implants (PPCI), “Literocity”: Atlanta, GA. June 17-21, 2013.
- This topical session will be held in Atlanta, GA (at a Cobb County School System facility) June 17 – 21, 2013. Literocity is a dynamic new course of study intended for Listening and Spoken Language professionals interested in learning more about the development of reading in young children (ages 2-6) with hearing loss. Using a design that calls for prerequisite study, high-energy on-site activities, direct work with children and virtual follow-up visits, Literocity represents a new generation of professional learning. This program is offered for up to 3.35 ASHA CEUs (Professional area; Intermediate Level). The application deadline is April 19, 2013!

- A second Summer session of PPCI will be held at their Philadelphia training location (The Clarke School for Hearing and Speech, Bryn Mawr, PA) July 8 - 20, 2013. PPCI is a multifaceted, high impact, professional learning program, emphasizing listening and spoken language development for children with hearing loss, birth to age five, using ALL hearing technologies. This program supports the development of knowledge and skills that providers need in order to produce the desired listening and spoken language outcomes for children and their families. Upon completion of the program in its entirety, participants are awarded 9 graduate credits from Smith College and up to 70 hours of CE credits from ASHA and the AG Bell Academy.
